About
WillSearch.ca
When someone passes away, one of the most important questions families face is whether a will exists — and where it might be.
Will-Search.ca helps families locate Wills and POAs through multiple databases of 100,000+ wills stored and registered by law firms across Canada.
Our service allows loved ones, executors, and legal representatives to verify whether a will has been registered and ensure nothing has been overlooked.

How It Works
Start Your Search Today
01
Submit a Search
Families, executors, or authorized individuals can submit a secure online search request.
You will provide information about the deceased and your relationship to them so we can conduct a thorough search of the registry.
02
Search Certificate
Once your request has been processed, we issue a Search Certificate confirming that the registry was checked.
This certificate can provide important documentation for estate administration, demonstrating that reasonable efforts were made to locate a will.
03
Will
Match
If the document is stored in a National Will Bank, you will be notified of a match right away. You'll be given instructions on how to arrange retrieval.
If your search matches the information in a Will Registry, the law firm that registered the will is notified and instructed to contact you.
